Rise and Shine Breakfast Bagel Sandwich

This breakfast bagel sandwich is inspired by my favorite breakfast bagel I get from my local sandwich shop.  My homemade version might even be better . . . just saying :)  You can have this ready in less than 15 minutes, which is less time than it would take you to get dressed and drive to that sandwich shop.

I could eat this sandwich every single day for breakfast.  I crave this all the time.  A toasted bagel, topped with melty American Cheese, smoked ham, medium-cooked eggs and velvety smooth cream cheese.  Breakfast of Champions right here.

I used none other than Eggland's Best Eggs!  I feel so good when I eat Eggland's Best Eggs, because I know they are packed with so many nutrients and they have 25% less saturated fat than ordinary eggs.
To kick-off National Nutrition Month (March), Eggland’s Best (EB) is searching for their next “Chief Egg Officer” (CEO) who is passionate about “EB” eggs and the nutritional benefits they bring to the table!

There are many ways to incorporate “EB” eggs into your meals and Eggland’s Best would like the next “CEO” to show us how EB eggs are THE ONLY eggs for them.

Compared to ordinary eggs, EB eggs have FOUR times more vitamin D, keeping your bones and muscles strong. They’re beneficial to heart health, as they contain DOUBLE the omega-3s and have TEN times more vitamin E than ordinary eggs

You can visit Eggland’s Best website from now until May 24th, to fill out a submission on why you think you would make a great “Chief Egg Officer.”  Voting will take place between July 7th and August 2nd, and the winner will be announced on August 4th!

THE BEST PART IS - One Grand Prize winner will receive $5,000 cash, a year supply of Eggland’s Best eggs, and a nutrition consultation with Tammy Lakatos Shames and Lyssie Lakatos (The Nutrition Twins)! Two runners-up will receive $500 cash and a year supply of Eggland’s Best eggs

a Rafflecopter giveaway I was compensated for this post.  The above Eggland's Best information, coupon and gift card have been provided by Eggland's Best.  The giveaway prize will be shipped by Eggland's Best.

Rise and Shine Breakfast Bagel Sandwich
From: Jenn@eatcakefordinner
(Printable Recipe) or (Printable Recipe)

2 Eggland's Best eggs
salt and pepper
4 thin slices smoked deli ham
1 slice American Cheese
2 Tbl. cream cheese, room temperature
1 plain bagel

Heat a medium skillet over medium-high heat.  Crack each egg, side by side, into the skillet.  Season with salt and pepper.  Cook for 4 minutes on the first side, flip over and cook for another 3 minutes on the second side.  The yolk will be soft, but not runny.  Remove to a plate.  Add sliced ham to the same skillet and cook for about 30 seconds per side, just to heat through.  Meanwhile, place the bagel in the toaster.

Remove bagel from toaster and immediately place a slice of American cheese on the bottom half, followed by the warm ham and then both eggs.  Spread cream cheese over the top half of the bagel and place on sandwich.  Enjoy.

I must say that your breakfast bagel sandwich looks delicious. Much better than mine. Thanks for sharing.
